Accreditation for Diploma of Echocardiography and Workshops

European / USA / Australian CME accreditation

The Postgraduate Diploma of Perioperative and Critical Care Echocardiography (PGDipEcho)
is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).  The EACCME is an institution of the European union of medical specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.  The PGDipEcho is designated for a maximum of nine European external CME credits per session.  Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.  EACCME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the physicians recognition award (PRA).  To convert EACCME credits to AMA PRA category one credit, contact the AMA.

Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists grants 50 CME credits.

Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) grants 50 points / annum for the length of the project
