The qualification PGDipEcho(Melb) can now be quoted on signboards, business cards, letterheads etc. for the purpose of professional practice in Hong Kong.

HEARTscan proves very popular
All of the HEARTscan courses for 2008 were booked out in Feb 2008! An additional 5 places were made for the Melbourne course 14-15 April. Plans are afoot to increase the number of these courses each year.
Name change for School of Enterprise
The School of Enterprise (SoE) is a subsiduary of the University of Melbourne and has recently undergone a name change to Melbourne Consultancy and Custom Programs (MCCP). However, the web address and other contact details remain the same http://www.soe.unimelb.edu.au
Redevelopment of the web site The whole web site is being redeveloped from a database generated web page site to a Dreamweaver site. Many of the existing links to pages have been broken and will be updated over the next few weeks. The original pages including the online tutorial for the Echocardiography Database remain intact and will work from within the database program.
Diploma of Echocardiography moves to SOE The administering organisation has changed at Melbourne University from the School of Medicine to the School of Enterprise. This has allowed a more streamlined administrative process as well as the reduction of fees for interntional students to a level marginally above local Australasian students.
New Hands On courses Following the very successful Point of Care ultrasound course, two new more focussed courses have just commenced. These are the ultrasound guided nerve block and vascular access course and the HEARTscan course. The first of the HEARTscan courses will be conducted in Melbourne in November 2007, and the following two courses are now fully enrolled.
New Presentations Two new presentations from the 2007 ASCTS conference in Noosa are available in PowerPoint or Flash video format. There are two supplementary download files for the Kaplan Meier presentation also available and links to the ulnar artery atheroma study.
